1. I’m currently single.
2. I’m gay, but I guess my home page gave that away.
3. I am a Kinsey 6.
4. I have never spent a day in the hospital except for my birth.
5. I wear Acuvue Oasys contact lenses.
6. I would say that I am more of a cat person, than a dog person.
7. The best job I ever had is working for Wells Fargo Technology Information Group.
8. I’ve been with Wells Fargo from over 13 years.
9. I’ve only ever worked for one other company since college, Dun & Bradstreet for 3 years.
10. I don’t cook. I eat about 95% of meals out.
11. I wear boxers or boxer briefs.
12. I prefer guys in boxers or boxer briefs over briefs.
13. I enjoy going out dancing on occasion.
14. I wear a size 10 ½ shoe.
15. I am on speaking terms with most of my ex-boyfriends.
16. I have traveled to Europe three times.
17. I have lived in 4 states (North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Iowa)
18. I have never smoked and miss the smoke-free bars from Florida. Iowa just went smoke free on July 1st, 2008. Yeah!
19. I own my dream car, a BMW 328xi.
20. I consider my self an Independent, but am a registered Democrat. I caucused for Hilary, but now support Obama.
21. I am out of the closet to my entire family.
22. I believe you can have more than one soul mate.
23. I know, beyond a doubt, I have met two of mine.
24. My current weight fluctuates between 155 and 160.
25. I have a near photographic memory for really worthless information.
26. I watch a lot of TV, especially HGTV.
27. I have a younger brother and an even younger sister.
28. I was raised Southern Baptist, converted to Catholicism, & now am somewhat agnostic.
29. I’ve been working since I was 12 years old.
30. My first job at age 12 was on a paper route.
31. I am a pretty picky eater. I don’t really eat any ethic cuisines or fruits and vegetables.
32. The first quality I look for in a guy is their smile. It says a lot about a person.
33. I believe in Karma, what goes around comes around.
34. I follow the golden rule, “Treat others as you wish to be treated.”
35. I’ve enjoyed most places I have lived, especially Sarasota, Ft. Lauderdale, Tallahassee and Des Moines.
36. My closet straight friend and closet female friend is Melissa Brock (Melbourne, FL)
37. My longest term gay friends are Ian Granick (New York) , Patrick Wadkins (Atlanta, GA) and Jeff Stout (West Palm Beach, FL)
38. The longest term continuous partner / relationship I’ve had is with Tony DiSalvo (Savannah, GA). Even after parting ways seven years ago, we are still great friends.
39. One of my dreams is to live downtown in a larger metropolitan city such as New York, Chicago or Washington DC. I moved to a downtown Des Moines condo in March 2008.
40. The most beautiful place I have ever been to is Paris.
41. I took 3 years of French in High School and 3 years in College. I’m pretty rusty with it right now.
42. I want to adopt a child someday.
43. I am currently a volunteer big brother to a 9 year old named Austin.
44. I am always spending money on gadgets or my house.
45. I own an iMac and a Mac PowerBook Pro which are networked together.
46. I love interior design and digital photography.
47. I love hosting cocktail parties.
48. I have a fetish for guys in uniform, particularly military uniform.
49. I want to own my own bar someday.
50. My favorite candy bar is a Snickers.
51. I have three tattoos, one of a bar code of my full name above my ankle, the other one is of an alien listing to an iPod which is on my left calf, and my most recent is some tribal artwork on my left upper arm, shoulder and chest.
52. I have a degree in Accounting. I once thought I wanted to be a CPA.
53. I prefer Mac computers to PCs, but can easily operate both.
54. I’ve only really had two email addresses since I started emailing, when AOL was first around, I had MrSuburbia@aol.com and since then when Hotmail started, I got larrybradshaw@hotmail.com.
55. I never kissed a boy until I was 23 years old.
56. If I order pizza, I prefer original crust and just cheese, sometimes pepperoni.
57. I prefer Diet Pepsi to Diet Coke, but will buy whichever is on sale.
58. I don’t care for a lot of reality TV shows.
59. Don’t ask me to help paint, I’m a terrible painter.
60. I generally have a direct communication style.
61. I generally over tip for service.
62. I’ve known at least five people who took their own lives.
63. The only fruit I really like is Western Red Delicious apples. I like them really cold.
64. My drink of choice is Vodka Cranberry. I prefer Kettle One vodka.
65. My favorite martini is a really good Chocolate Martini.
66. I don’t eat desert very often, but I do like ice cream and chocolate cake, especially together.
67. I grew up with a swimming pool, but I don’t swim very well.
68. I always look for the good in people.
69. I tend to me much more of an optimist than a pessimist.
70. I put 8% of my paycheck into my 401k.
71. Someday I want to live abroad, probably in London or Paris.
72. I would love to visit the Egyptian pyramids and the Greek ruins someday.
73. I currently wear size 32 jeans, I would like to get back down to 31.
74. I own the following Apple products: 24” iMac, MacBook Pro, iPhone, iPod, and an Apple TV.
75. I believe in not getting worked up over things that are out of your control.
76. I’m left-handed, but wear my watch on my left arm.
77. I was born at 4:58 am and weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces.
78. I’m a Gemini and was born during the Year of the Monkey. Both say a lot about my personality.
79. I celebrate my birthday on the same day as: Angelina Jolie and Noah Wylie.
80. I graduated from high school on my 18th birthday.
81. I have over 350 DVDs, I like to watch a lot of movies.
82. My iTunes library contains over 37,000 songs from a wide-variety of genres, but focuses on pop/rock and electronica/dance.
83. I miss my Tivo, now I have DirectTV DVR, it’s just not the same, but Tivo is no longer an option for me due to where I live. I once owned 3 Tivos.
84. I carry both a BlackBerry and an iPhone. iPhone for personal use, BlackBerry for work use. If you can’t reach me on one, always try the other. I also still have a landline at home.
85. My favorite discount store is Target. I haven’t shopped at a Walmart for over 15 years. I encourage people to not shop at Walmart due to their practices.
86. I’ve personally known four individuals who took their own life. I still think of them sometimes.
87. I grocery shop at either Super Target or Hy-Vee, but never Dahl’s. I just don’t like Dahl’s selection or prices.
88. Being part of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa is one of things I am most proud of. I have a great little brother named Austin, we’ve been together for over two years now.
89. In the mid-1990s I used to be Editor-in-Chief for a regional gay monthly newspaper, Community News. I got my start with Community News by writing music and gay adult film reviews.
90. I used to volunteer as a crisis counselor for the Florida AIDS Hotline and I also sat on the Board of Directors for the State of Florida Ryan White Project Funding Board.
91. I also run the website, Living Downtown Des Moines, where users can share their experiences about living downtown.
